A Veterans Memorial Service will included in the activities on Saturday, May 23, at the 46th Annual Barrio Fiesta at the War Memorial Soccer Field. The Barrio Fiesta begins on Friday evening at 5 p.m.

“We are pleased to include a Veterans Memorial Service as part of the Annual Barrio Fiesta,” said Florante Garcia, a U.S. Army veteran, and the president of Binhi at Ani, the sponsoring organization of the Annual Barrio Fiesta. “For the past six years, the Barrio Fiesta has included a Special Veterans Memorial Service as part of its regular program. As a veteran myself, I am proud to include a tribute to all Veterans.”

The Veterans Memorial Service will begin with the Posting of the Colors by the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard at 9:30 a.m., after which Veterans will march in. The memorial service will include the POW/MIA Ceremony.
