“Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is a true source of pride for the entire team at Maui Ocean Center and Seascape Māʻalaea Restaurant,” said Kate Zolezzi, general manager at Maui Ocean Center. “We would like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor. There is no greater seal of approval than being recognized by one’s customers. With the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on customer reviews, the accolade is a remarkable vote of confidence to our business and our continued commitment to excellence.”

Since opening in 1998, Maui Ocean Center has showcased accurate representations of marine life surrounding the Hawaiian Islands with exhibits featuring animals living in habitats that closely replicate their own natural environment. A trip through the aquarium includes encounters with live coral, colorful reef fish, sea turtles, octopus, eels and a breathtaking 54-foot-long acrylic tunnel through a 750,000 gallon exhibit that guides visitors through the ocean depths, seeing the home of over 2,000 colorful fish, sharks and rays.

The award-winning Seascape Māʻalaea Restaurant, located at Maui Ocean Center, serves island-inspired cuisine complemented by ocean views of Māʻalaea Harbor. Dedicated to being heart-healthy and ocean-friendly, all menu items are trans-fat free and the seafood served is found on the Best Choices and Good Alternatives List, following Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program. The restaurant can be accessed through the aquarium entrance or a side entrance near the Māʻalaea Harbor Shops. Aquarium admission is not required to dine.
