8-Year Maui Police Veteran Arrested for OUI

An eight-year veteran of the Maui Police Department was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant, and refusal to submit to a breath, blood or urine test, police said.
According to Maui police, Rachel Garvin, 33, of Haʻikū was arrested and charged in connection with the incident at around 11:12 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015.
Garvin is currently assigned to the Receiving Desk.
Police say her credentials and firearms have been surrendered.

She was reportedly released after posting $1,100 bail.
