North: Surf expected up to knee/thigh high (Hana side). Sets could get a bit bigger.
West: Ankle to thigh high waves expected today.
South: Knee/waist high waves are expected today.
Our current south-southwest swell will continue to fade Saturday.
A new small southwest is expected to build Monday, peak Tuesday in the waist high zone and then begin to fade. A new swell is also due in next weekend.
Our current northwest swell is forecasted to fade Monday and drop out Tuesday. Another small northwest is expected later this week.
Even though Hurricane Andres has fizzled in the East Pacific, the swell it generated is still expected to continue to impact the islands easing through early this week.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
