The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation today announced construction to install lights at the Keōpūolani Park Soccer Field #4 will begin on Monday, July 6, 2015.

Construction areas at Field #4 will be closed for safety reasons from July 6 to Oct. 31, 2015; however, the park will remain open for public use.  The public is asked to avoid the construction area and equipment at the location.

The project will include excavating holes for the light pole footings, trenching to install conduits and minor demolition to asphalt and concrete to connect to the new lighting controls that will be located in the existing comfort station.

The $431,049 construction project has been contracted out to Paul’s Electrical Contracting, LLC.
