Mayor Alan Arakawa answers some of the most-asked questions submitted to his office staff.

Dear Mayor Arakawa:

Q: When and will North High Street be repaired? That small street is getting worse and worse. They’re only patching up the patches and putting our cars shocks to the test!

A: I agree; it is bad. That is why I’m happy to say that we are scheduled to resurface North High Street at the end of the year. North High Street is on the county’s road resurfacing list for fiscal year 2015 for the Wailuku/Kahului district. The resurfacing of North High Street is expected to begin at the end of the year. Other roads on the resurfacing list for fiscal year 2015 include Kaohu Street, Lauone Place, East Papa Avenue, East Hawai‘i Street and West Hawai‘i Street.
