Mokulele Airlines Expands Service

Mokulele Airlines announced today that it will increase service in September, adding two daily direct flights from Moloka‘i to Kona, and retiming Kapalua flights to make them more convenient for West Maui customers.

In addition, due to demand, Mokulele is extending its discount special through the end of the year for keiki 12 and under. The 25%-off fare is available at all nine airports Mokulele serves across the state.

“We closely monitor markets and adjust our schedule and routes to meet market needs,” said President and CEO Ron Hansen. “We received such great feedback from the keiki promotion that we decided to keep it going through the end of the year to help families get together this fall and into the holiday season.”

Mokulele Airlines owns and operates the newest fleet of aircraft in the state and is the only Caravan operator in the world that voluntarily operates all flights with two pilots for an extra margin of safety (the Caravan is certificated as a single-pilot aircraft) for the safety of its passengers.

“Safety is our top priority,” said Hansen “Two set’s of eyes and ears is always safer than one. That’s why every Mokulele flight has a captain and a first officer on every flight.”

Mokulele offers 120 or more daily flights from Honolulu International and Kalaeloa (Barbers Point) airports on O‘ahu; Kapalua, Kahului and Hāna airports on Maui; Kona and Waimea airports on Hawai‘i Island, as well as Ho‘olehua and Kalaupapa airports on Mokoka‘i.
