Cierra Rauch was crowned Miss Maui USA 2016; Jessie Sagadraca, Miss Valley Isle USA ’16; Ma‘ata Halaliku, Miss Makena USA 2016; Joahannalee Ucol, Miss Maui Teen USA 2016; and Lindsey Saludares,  Miss Valley Isle Teen USA 2016 at the Third Annual Miss Maui USA and Miss Maui Teen USA pageant on Sunday, Aug. 30, at the Historic ʻĪao Theater in Wailuku.

Each titleholder earned scholarship money and various prizes, including a spot in the state competition. They each competed in three phases of competition: pre-pageant interview, swimsuit and evening gown, during the Miss Maui USA and Miss Maui Teen USA pageant, preliminaries to Miss Hawai‘i USA and Miss Hawai‘i Teen USA, affiliates of the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.

They will all represent Maui on O‘ahu when they vie for the Miss Hawai‘i USA and Miss Hawai‘i Teen USA titles on Nov. 22, 2015.

“It is our hope that our program will assist each contestant in achieving their professional and personal goals through education, and the importance of making a difference in our community,” said Maui’s pageant executive director, Arman Lat.
