Island Air is celebrating its 35th anniversary of providing service in Hawai‘i with a number of gifts and surprises for its guests.

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, Island Air travelers will be welcomed at the gate areas in Honolulu, Kahului and Lāna‘i with a special lei greeting, treats from Honolulu Cookie Company and (in Honolulu) entertainment by the Pae Moku Trio from noon to 2 p.m.

In addition, beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Hawai‘i residents will have multiple opportunities to win free airline tickets and travel package prizes, including two grand prize air-and-hotel packages. Island Air will host a series of daily listener call-ins on radio. One winner will be selected for the day’s grand prize package, which will include airline tickets for two to Maui and a two-night stay at the Montage Kapalua Bay resort.

Throughout the month of September 35 additional round-trip airfare packages for two will be given away via radio.

On Sept. 30, the last day of Island Air’s anniversary month, one radio listener will be selected for a final grand prize package with round-trip airfare and a two-night hotel stay for two at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Kā‘anapali.

“We are grateful and honored to have been an integral part of Hawai‘i over the past 35 years,” said Dave Pflieger, CEO of Island Air. “Our participation in local community and charity events, as well as our ongoing sale fares and special promotions are some of the many ways that we serve kama‘āina and visitors and demonstrate our commitment to Hawai‘i.”
