2015 Tax Workshop Schedule Announced

The Department of Taxation’s 2015 Tax Workshop on Maui will be held on Friday, Oct. 23, in the Maui Beach Hotel’s Elleair Rainbow Ballroom.

Workshops will also be held on Hawai‘i Island, Kaua‘i and O‘ahu (See “2015 TAX WORKSHOP SCHEDULE” below.)

All workshops run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is available online (see “2015 TAX WORKSHOP SCHEDULE” below) or register at the door beginning at 8 a.m.

The fee is $80 for individuals who submit their registration and payment by the registration deadline. Maui’s registration deadline is Oct. 16. Late registration is $100. Walk-in registrations will be accepted at the door on a space-available basis.

The fee includes a continental breakfast, workshop materials and three hours of Hawai‘i Board of Public Accountancy Continuing Professional Education credit.

Workshop materials may be separately purchased for $25 per set.

Online registration may be completed through each of the community college’s websites. More information and the registration form are available through the Department of Taxation’s website.

This year’s workshop topics include a 2015 Legislative Update and an overview of the Transient Accommodations Tax.

“We’re pleased to present our annual Tax Workshops for the state’s tax professionals,” said Director of Taxation Maria Zielinski. “These workshops provide us a chance to update and educate our tax community on current issues, as well as provide the community an opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions.”
