The first of two free workshops on How to Influence State Laws takes place on Maui tonight. Tonight’s workshop begins at 6 p.m. at the Kīhei Public Library and is designed to help citizens learn how to participate in the Hawaiʻi legislative process.

The workshop is presented by the Hawaiʻi State Public Access Room, a non-partisan agency with the state legislature.

Topics include: communicating with senators and representatives, delivering effective testimony, using the legislature’s website, and navigating procedures and deadlines.
