If you’d like to get an extra day out of your Halloween costume, check out this dining event to support a local cause.
Sangrita Grill + Cantina will host a Day of the Dead party on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 5 p.m. until closing (9:30 p.m.) at the Fairway Shops in Kāʻanapali. The fundraising event will benefit Imua Family Services (IFS), which provides early-childhood developmental services, support and resources to children and their families to help them achieve their full potential in life.
A prix-fixe menu will be available for purchase that night, with a portion going toward IFS. The evening will also kick off a series of prix-fixe menus offered through December to benefit Imua. Top chefs, including Lyndon Honda, Elizabeth McDonald and Paris Nabavi, will be contributing to those menus.
There will be a costume contest and prizes to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, or “Day of the Dead,” a long-held Mexican holiday gathering of family and friends for a time of well wishes.
