At this year’s Maui Fair, Maui Solar Project launched a contest to find young artists in the community with a passion for renewable energy. Over the course of four days, over 500 entries were submitted for a chance to win an iPad Air 2.

“It was exciting to see how detailed and focused the crowd was when they sat down to draw a picture of their home with PV panels on the roof, it was hard to choose a winner with so many excellent drawings,” said MSP President Josh Porter.

The first place iPad Air award went to Keamalu Akini, second place and a $50 Visa Gift Card went to Paloma Banto and third place and a $25 Visa Gift Card went to Kyrie Sisouvong.
