LOCATED: Missing Person, Ignacio Rivera of Kahului

On Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, police say Ignacio Rivera was located and his in good health.

On Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 at around 3:03 p.m., a family member reported that Ignacio Rivera, 89, of Kahului, did not return home after going to church. After church, he walked to a friend’s house along Makali’i Street in Kahului. Rivera was last seen walking away from the residence towards the Kuihelani Highway by the friend.
Police say Rivera’s family began looking for him; however, were unsuccessful. This is when they called for assistance. Police and Maui Fire Department’s Air 1 checked along Kuihelani Highway and the cane fields as well, but, were not able to locate Rivera.
Police say Air 1 has since suspended their search, with plans to continue again on Monday morning.
Rivera was wearing a Hawaiian print polo shirt and blue pants.
The department is asking the public for any information that may lead to Rivera’s whereabouts.
