Maui Landscape Photographer Earns Lucie Awards
Maui-based fine art landscape photographer Mike Neubauer’s The Kingdom of Maui: A Photographer’s Journey has recently earned distinctions in both the Fine Art Book category and the Self-Published Book category of the 2015 International Photography Awards competition, also known as the Lucie Awards.
Neubauer has been accumulating awards for his photography for years; these are his 13th and 14th awards of the year so far with the rest honoring his achievements in fine art photography.
The book contains photographs of Maui, Molokai‘i and Lāna’i and has been praised since its release late last year for its intertwining of beautiful imagery, culture, history and legends pertaining to the islands.
For the holidays, Neubauer has set up kiosks at the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center, upstairs by the food court. Signed copies of his book are available, as is a Limited Edition Collector’s version. Books start at $40.
In addition to his books, several of Mike’s award-winning photographs are on display as well and are also available for purchase while supplies last.
Neubauer’s artwork can be seen on his website along with excerpts of his book.
