Market Street on Maui is all lit up in time for tonight’s holiday themed First Friday event, taking place tonight, Dec. 4, 2015 in Wailuku Town.

The holiday lights were added overhead as part of an organized effort led by the Maui Redevelopment Agency in partnership with linemen from Maui Electric Company.

Crews worked into the night to sting lights for a festive and magical ambiance on Market Street.

“We are grateful to Du-Watt’s electrician Herman Carpio for finding a way to make a complicated task possible. The MECO crew’s patient hard work paid off and the street began to twinkle and gleam,” said representatives with the Maui Redevelopment Agency in a thank you letter drafted today.

The theme of tonight’ December edition of First Friday is “Merry Merry Wailuku.”

All through the holiday season, customers are invited to visit Wailuku Town for a traditional shopping, dining and theater-going experience with some added holiday cheer.
