Water conservation request. Maui Now graphic.

Water customers on Maui are being asked to conserve water following a power outage reported shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, Dec. 18, 2015.

The Department of Water Supply is asking all consumers to conserve water and to avoid any unnecessary water use until tomorrow morning, when power supply is completely restored.

Department officials thanked customers for their cooperation and understanding in advance.
