Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be knee/tummy high in the morning and easing through the day. Trade swell focal points are expected to be overhead to well overhead.
West: Wave heights are below waist high today.
South: Wave heights are below waist high today. Spots catching the trade swell could be up to overhead.
Our current north-northwest swell will continue to slowly ease today. A new north swell is expected to build Sunday into the shoulder/head high range or so.
A big surge in easterly winds has brought small craft advisory and gale warning conditions over the coastal waters. Trade swell will continue as long as the winds are up.
Nothing of note expected out of the Southern Hemisphere for the final weeks of 2015.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
