Hawai‘i Energy Offers First-Ever ‘New Year Giveaway’

Hawaii Energy logo.Hawai‘i Energy has announced its first-ever “New Year Giveaway.” From now until Jan. 30, 2016, residents can enter online for a chance to win an ENERGY STAR refrigerator. One resident from each county will be randomly selected to win a white ENERGY STAR top-freezer, 18-cubic-foot unit (estimated $650 value). A total of three refrigerators will be awarded.

Hawaii Energy encourages residents to include energy efficiency as the go-to, cost-effective way to save energy and money on electric bills in the coming year.

To enter the “New Year Giveaway,” visit Hawaii Energy’s Facebook page. Click on the “New Year Giveaway” link for the entry form. Limit one entry per resident.

While on Hawaii Energy’s Facebook page, residents can “Like” the page to stay current on the latest energy-saving offers and tips.

“We appreciate the tens of thousands of residents who participated in our rebates last year,” said Shan Wirt, marketing and communications group manager. “For 2016, our goal is to engage with more residents to help reduce their electric usage and bills. With our ‘New Year Giveaway,’ we hope to generate additional excitement for and commitment to energy conservation and efficiency.”

Hawaii Energy is the ratepayer-funded energy conservation and efficiency program administered by Leidos Engineering LLC under contract with the Hawai‘i Public Utilities Commission, serving the islands of Hawai‘i, Lāna‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i and O‘ahu.
