Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel has earned two prestigious Travvy Awards for “Best Hawaiian Cultural Hotel” and “Best Family/Resort, Hawaii.”

The awards ceremony was held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at Gotham Hall in New York City.

The annual Travvy Awards, known as the Academy Awards of the travel industry, recognizes the highest standards of excellence in the travel industry and honors travel companies, travel products, travel agencies and destinations for their outstanding achievement.

“It’s a true honor to be awarded with these Travvy Awards as these wins were determined by those who know us best-travel agents and their clients,” said Mike White, general manager ofKā‘anapali Beach Hotel. “These awards are a testament to Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel’s commitment to cultivating memorable Hawaiian experiences and cultural excellence and our staff’s dedication to ensuring we provide guests with true aloha service.”

Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel places a strong emphasis on providing guests with rich and authentic cultural experiences making it a fitting recipient for the “Best Hawaiian Cultural Hotel” accolade. Guests enjoy an array of complimentary daily cultural activities and classes such as hula lessons, ukulele classes, cultural garden walks, nightly Hawaiian entertainment and culinary offerings with authentic flair. To ensure the retention of its status as “Hawaii’s most Hawaiian Hotel,” the hotel instituted a program called Po’okela in 1986 to reinforce Hawaiian values in the hotel’s daily activities. Each year staff members are educated about Hawaii’s culture through classes that cover Hawaiian language, history, local plants, arts, song and other areas.

Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel is an idyllic setting for families to relax and enjoy quality time with value-driven vacation packages, family activities and complimentary cultural experiences designed for all ages.

Children are provided with an opportunity to become immersed in the culture through the Aloha Passport for Kids program that leads them on a resort-wide exploration to discover Hawaii’s culture and history in a fun and meaningful way. In addition, the hotel offers enticing perks for families such as kids eat and stay, complimentary Wi-Fi and no resort fees.

Travel suppliers, destinations and individuals from all over the world were eligible to submit their nominations to be considered for the honor of being recognized as an innovator in the industry. This year, nearly 40,000 travel professionals voted on their favorites which determined the 2016 Travvy Awards winners. These winners were honored during an awards dinner and presentation attended by the finalists, industry leaders and travel professionals.
