Haʻikū Brush Fire on Hahana Road Near “Jaws”

Maui firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire half-way down Hahana Road in the Peʻahi “Jaws” area of Haʻikū.
Initial reports indicate flames were about 10 feet tall and the fire had burned about a half-acre of brush.
The incident was reported at 3:49 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, and the fire was reportedly under control by around 4:20 p.m.
