Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery of Lahaina Bank

Maui police and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for the armed robbery of a Lahaina bank on Friday afternoon, Feb. 26, 2016.

Police say the suspect gave the female teller a bag and demanded she place money within while he brandished an unknown type of firearm.

The suspect then fled north bound on a bicycle, according to police reports.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, around 20 to 25 years old, standing 5’11″ to 6’1”, and weighing 150 to 160 pounds.  Police say the suspect also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck and released a surveillance photo of the suspect wanted for the alleged robbery.

The man was last seen wearing a long sleeve black shirt, black pants and black hat. Police say the suspect also had a mustache and a patch of hair on his chin.
