Four Seasons Resort Maui Memories to be Unearthed in Another 25 Years
Four Seasons Resort Maui celebrated the luxury Resort’s 25th anniversary by burying a time capsule in a ceremony held on the resort grounds on Feb. 29, 2016.
Within the capsule were written memories, photographs and other memorabilia submitted by current and former guests, employees and managers.
The time capsule is slated to be unearthed and opened after another 25 years, at the Resort’s 50th anniversary in 2041.
General Manager Jean Claude Wietzel participated by performing the ceremonial first scoop during a ceremony at a garden site located adjacent to the iconic Fountain Pool. Wietzel noted that when the resort first opened, the attire for poolside staff was jackets and ties and there was a disco on the property.
Maui’s first and only Forbes Five-Star resort features 380 rooms nestled on 15 acres along the Wailea coastline.
