Kaiser Permanente Hires Three New Physicians on Maui

Kaiser Permanente has added three new physicians to its Wailuku clinics on Maui, and four to it’s O‘ahu and Hawai‘i Island clinics.

The seven new doctors join more than 600 physicians and other healthcare providers within the state’s largest medical group, the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, which provides comprehensive care to Kaiser Permanente’s 240,000-plus members across the state.

Maui’s Wailuku Clinics

Rebecca Gladding, MD, practices psychiatry at the Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health Services – Wells St. facility in Wailuku. She received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and completed her general psychiatry residency at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Gladding served as psychiatric medical director for the County of Napa, California. She is board certified in psychiatry.

Mary Kingma-Noland, MD, joins the nephrology department at Kaiser Permanente Wailuku Medical Office. She received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and served as chief resident during her internal medicine residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. Dr. Kingma-Noland completed her fellowship in nephrology at University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.

Ann Rahall, MD, joins the obstetrics and gynecology department at Kaiser Permanente Wailuku Medical Office. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, and completed her ob-gyn residency at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Hawai‘i Island Clinic

Eric Helms, MD, joins the obstetrics and gynecology department at Kaiser Permanente Hilo Clinic. He completed his medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and served as chief resident while completing his ob-gyn residency at Mission Hospital/Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, Dr. Helms served as a staff physician at Bay Clinic in Hilo. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

O‘ahu Clinics

David Hsiang, MD, FACS, joins the general surgery department at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hsiang completed his surgical residency at University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California. Dr. Hsiang is board certified in general surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Marci Peralto, MD, joins the obstetrics and gynecology department at Kaiser Permanente Honolulu Medical Office. She earned her medical degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, and completed her ob-gyn residency at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where she was chief resident. Dr. Peralto comes to Hawaii from the Colorado Permanente Medical Group, where she served as an ob-gyn physician. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Gale Prentiss, MD, joins the sports medicine department at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Prentiss completed her family medicine residency at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she served as chief resident. She also completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine through the University of California, Davis/University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, Dr. Prentiss served as head team physician in the athletics department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine.
