The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset inducted Kunnanon and Mike Comstock at a recent club meeting.

The husband-and-wife team moved to Maui in September 2015 from Orange County, California. They are the owners of Saltwater Signs and Wide Format Experts, subsidiaries of Sugar Cane Signs Inc.

Kunnanon, known by her nickname, “Aoy,” is originally from Mahasarakham in northeast Thailand. She has an associates degree in both business and public relations and a bachelor of science degree from Chandrakasem Rejabhat University in Bangkok. While in Bangkok, she worked for several companies in sales and marketing positions. Aoy is president of Sugar Cane Signs Inc.

“We have enjoyed meeting the members of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset and want to thank the club for their warm welcome,” said Aoy.

A fifth-generation Rhode Islander, Mike graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor of arts degree in business communication and minors in public relations and theater. He spent 30 years in Orange County in various graphics-related jobs with manufacturers, dealerships and end-users.

Mike, the operations manager of Saltwater Signs, is also the sales and technical expert with Wide Format Experts.

Wide Format Experts is a Roland wide-format printer manufacturer based in Irvine, California. The dealership sells, services, installs and trains customers in the use of Roland’s entire product line. These machines include wide format printers, UV Desktop and Flatbed printers, milling machines, 3-D printers and vinyl cutters. The dealership’s territory is Hawai‘i and the Pacific Northwest.

“Aoy and I look forward to participating in the club’s community service projects and look to help the community in a positive way,” said Mike.

Carmen Karady served as Aoy and Mike’s membership sponsor.

The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset is a volunteer service organization of community leaders. The club meets on the first, third and fifth Tuesday of each month at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kā‘anapali.

Guests are welcome. For more information, contact President Sandy Schneider at 662-2611.
