New Cooking Class Puts Whiskey to Work
A Whiskey Steakhouse cooking class on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 will bring bold whiskey and hearty steak together in a unique menu, meant to satisfy all the taste buds.
Roll up your sleeves and enjoy a memorable evening in the state-of-the-art commercial kitchen with Chef Lee and the crew of Sugar Beach Events Hawai‘i. Learn some tricks of the trade and expand your mind and recipe book alongside Chef Lee, known as one of Maui’s best teaching chefs.
In this class, students will learn how to prepare Ricotta Crostini with Bourbon Bacon Jam, Cheddar Whiskey Fondue, Pulled Pork Sandwich with Whiskey BBQ Sauce, NY Strip with Compound Whiskey Butter, Filet Mignon with Mushroom Whiskey Sauce, Whiskey Chive Chicken, Whiskey Glazed Carrots, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Bourbon Pecan Tarts and Bourbon Vanilla Marshmallows.
From the bar? Whiskey Smash, Old Fashioned and whiskey tasting. Sugar Beach Events will provide all the kitchen equipment and supplies.
This is the sixth cooking class in the “Cooking on Maui with Chef Lee” series. This ongoing series offers a variety of classes, video tutorials & tips, recipes and opportunities to learn professional tips to implement into your day-to-day kitchen time.
You have two opportunities to take this class: either Friday, March 18 or Saturday, March 19 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The class costs $95 per person, which includes one drink.
