Maui Surf Teams Compete in First MIL Event of Season

Surf teams on Maui completed in the first Maui Interscholastic League competition of the season at DT Fleming Beach Park in West Maui on Saturday, March 12, 2016.  Divisions included boys short board, boys body board, girls body board, & girls short board.

Among the top finishers were Hailey Arakaki who finished first in the girls short board division, and Hannah Talavs who finished second in the division.  Both are students from Maui High School.

The next surf contest will take place at Kokī Beach in Hāna on April 9, 2016.
