Maui police responded to 20 burglaries, 5 vehicle thefts, and 17 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between March 6 and 12, 2016.

Of the five vehicle thefts, two of the vehicles have since been recovered.  The incidents were reported in Wailuku, Kahului, Kīhei, Haʻikū and Nāpili.

Burglary incidents were down to 20 from the 22 incidents reported the week before.

Vehicle break-ins were up to 17, from the 15 incidents reported the week before.  The greatest number was in Waikapū, with 5 incidents reported over seven days.

Haʻikū:

  • Monday, March 7, 3:26 p.m.: 600 block W Kuiaha Rd. Residential – unlawful entry.
  • Monday, March 7, 6:31 p.m.: Palulu Way haiku. Residential – unlawful entry.

Kāʻanapali:

  • Wednesday, March 9, 1:10 p.m.: 6 Kai Ala Dr at the Westin Kāʻanapali Ocean Resort. Residential – unlawful entry.

Kahului:

  • Monday, March 7, 7:58 a.m.: 140 Jobron Ave at Kahului Trucking & Storage. Non-residential – unlawful entry.
  • Saturday, March 12, 5:52 p.m.: 100 block of Polani St kahului. Residential – forced entry.

Kīhei:

  • Friday, March 11, 9:56 a.m.: Manaʻo Kala St. Non-residential – forced entry.

Kula:

  • Tuesday, March 8, 8:20 p.m.: ʻĀhinahina Pl. Residential – unlawful entry.
  • Thursday, March 10, 3:59 p.m.: 100 block of Cross Rd. Residential – unlawful entry.

Lahaina:

  • Monday, March 7, 4:23 a.m.: 744 Front St at Nā Hōkū. Non-residential – forced entry.

Lānaʻi:

  • Monday, March 7, 9:52 a.m.: Kaualapau Hwy. Non-residential – unlawful entry.

Makawao:

  • Friday, March 11, 9:28 a.m.: 100 block of Kuono Pl. Residential – unlawful entry.

Nāpili:

  • Saturday, March 12, 6:05 a.m.: 3723 Lower Honoapiʻilani Rd at the Nohonani condominium. Residential – unlawful entry.

Pāʻia:

  • Thursday, March 10, 6:46 a.m.: 47 Baldwin Ave at Mana Foods. Non-residential – forced entry.
  • Thursday, March 10, 3:46 p.m: 100 block of Ulumau Pl. Residential – unlawful entry.

Pukalani:

  • Tuesday, March 8, 11:31 a.m.: Alea Pl. Residential – forced entry.

Waiehu:

  • Sunday, March 6, 3:28 p.m.: 800 block of Pakele Pl. Residential – unlawful entry.

Kīhei:

  • Thursday, March 10, 12:19 p.m.: 100 block of Noe St.  Red 2009 E-ton motorscooter, License: 357MVN. Ucpv – motorcycle/moped.

Nāpili:

  • Saturday, March 12, 6:23 a.m.: 3723 Lower Honoapiʻilani Rd at Nohonani condominium. Gold 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, License: LDR748. Ucpv – truck/suv. RECOVERED.

Wailuku:

  • Sunday, March 6, 7:22 p.m.: 27 N Market St at First Hawaiian Bank, Wailuku (rear parking lot). Green 1996 Dodge Caravan, License: MHC311. Ucpv – auto.
