DMVL Call Center Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The County of Maui Department of Finance’s call center has been created after the Division of Motor Vehicles and Licensing service center in the Maui Mall in Kahului closed indefinitely due to flooding and rain damage.
The public may call 270-7363 and dial “0” for the next available customer service representative.
The DMVL call center will adhere to the service center’s operation schedule—8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The hours of operation at the satellite DMVL offices have been extended to accommodate more customers.
Hours of operation at the Pukalani, Kīhei and Lahaina DMVL satellite offices are now open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The satellite offices (except Lahaina) will also open for a half-day on Saturdays, starting this Saturday, March 19, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Heavy rains earlier last week flooded the DMVL Kahului service center at Maui Mall, causing electrical and structural damage and forcing the center’s closure on Wednesday. The county had closed the Kahului service center for similar reasons on Feb. 17.
There is currently no estimate on how long the Kahului service center will remain closed; staff are continuing to assess the damage, as well as possible locations for a temporary service center in Central Maui.
