A Maui Local Fair fundraiser event for Maui boy Trucker Dukes is planned on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Maui Beach Hotel in Kahului, as he continues his battle against cancer.

Trucker was first diagnosed with stage-4 neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, in November of 2013.  In a March 7, 2016 update on prayhawaii.org by , Shauna Dukes, Trucker’s mom writes, “Truckers liver biopsy came back with inflammation but no scaring… And so we head back to NYC March 6th for two weeks of treatment to his cerebral spinal fluid.”

According to the update, Shauna and Trucker will then travel to California for a “Make A Wish” trip to Disneyland.

“From the bottom of our hearts thank you everyone who has gone out of their way to love on us and bless us and spend time with us… You truly will never know how much it means,” she said.

Some of the many vendors participating in the upcoming Maui Local Fair include: Poi By the Pound, Aloha Vapes, Janberry, Usborne Books, Maui Luxx and The Cupcake Ladies. A donation box for Trucker will be at the front door, and many vendors have pledged profits to Trucker.
With questions or if you want to be a vendor, please contact Janelle Mackiewicz at (808) 463-5569.
