Maui Crime, April 3–9: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 28 burglaries, 8 vehicle thefts, and 20 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between April 3-9, 2016.

Of the eight vehicle thefts, six of the vehicles have been recovered.  The incidents were reported in Lānaʻi, Nāpili, Lahaina, Kula, Kahului and Kīhei.

Burglary incidents were up to 28 from the 19 incidents reported the week before.

Vehicle break-ins were down to 20 from a high of 36 incidents reported the week before.  The greatest number was in Haiku, with five incidents reported over seven days.

Honokōwai:

  • Sunday, April 3, 8:18 a.m.: 3559 Lower Honoapiʻilani Rd at the Maui Sands. Burglary residential, unlawful entry.

Kāʻanapali:
