Phase One Parking Improvements Underway at West Maui Parks

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation announced today that Phase One of several parking lot improvement projects are now underway in West Maui.

Park facilities undergoing resurfacing, lot striping and other parking lot improvements include Nāpili Park, Honokōwai Beach Park, Wahikuli Wayside Park, the Lahaina Aquatic Center and the Lahaina Recreation Center.

During the project, crews will make sure that some parking is available for park facility users.

Resurfacing work is scheduled to begin at Nāpili Park and move southbound to the next park until ending with Lahaina Recreation Center; however, the schedule and order of parks being paved is subject to change.

The parking lot resurfacing work is expected to be completed on May 6, 2016. The cost of the project is $940,717.
