Attachment-1Live Nation and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center present the No. 1-selling duo in music history—Daryl Hall and John Oates in concert in The MACC’s A&B Amphitheater/Yokouchi Pavilion Saturday, Oct. 29.

The concert will also feature special guest Henry Kapono.

The music starts at 7 p.m.; gates open at 5 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now to MACC members and will go on sale to the general public Thursday, May 26.

From their first hit in 1974 and straight on through the pop-filled ’80s, Hall and Oates’ signature mix of soul, pop and rock has earned them a tremendous following, continued musical influence on a new generation of younger musicians and the distinction of selling more albums than any other duo in music history.

Their musical partnership began in the ’70s, when the two friends met at college and discovered they had similar musical tastes. Together they produced 10 No. 1 records and their 21 albums are studded with over 20 Top 40 hits, including favorites such as Rich Girl (also No. 1 R&B), Kiss on My List, Private Eyes, I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do) (also No. 1 R&B), Maneater, Out of Touch, Sara Smile, One on One, You Make My Dreams, Say It Isn’t So and Method of Modern Love.

Hall and Oates have received numerous awards, Grammy nominations, the BMI Icon Award for lifetime achievement in songwriting and have taken their rightful place in the annals of contemporary music with the duo’s induction into the American Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

Tickets are $59, $69, $89 and $129 with a limited number of $149 seats.

Ticket benefits for members start at the Ō‘hia level and above and ticket limits apply.

All are invited to become a MACC member and support its many arts & education programs. Members at the Ō‘hia level and above enjoy the benefits of early ticket buying opportunities, discounts and more.

For tickets or to enroll/renew a MACC membership, call or visit The MACC Box Office Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., call (808) 242-SHOW or buy tickets online.
