The review of vendor applications for the 3rd Annual Made in Maui County Festival, is underway.

Maui County’s largest products show, which will be held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4 and 5, will include a total of 140 product vendors plus 12 food trucks.

Vendors who submitted applications by the May 31 deadline will be notified of the selection committee’s decision on or before July 15, 2016.

Businesses that are accepted to participate in this two-day event will receive priority booth placement at the show.

Local businesses that missed the May 31 deadline, but would like to be considered for this year’s event, may still submit a vendor application. Late applications will be reviewed after July 15 on a first-come, first-served basis, based on space availability.

“The Made in Maui County Festival is a juried show and all applications are being carefully vetted by this year’s hard working vendor selection committee,” said Pam Tumpap, president of the Maui Chamber of Commerce. “Once again, it’s exciting to see the amazing array of products from local businesses and we thank everyone who submitted an application to be considered for this year’s Festival.”

Various criteria are used in reviewing product vendor applications.
• Business must be based in Maui County (a current GET license is required).
• All products offered for sale must be made, manufactured, grown and/or created in Maui County, although products may include source materials made/found in the State of Hawai‘i.
• Other judging criteria may include branding, packaging, website/online presence, and an interest in and readiness to export.

The festival is presented by the County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development and the Maui Chamber of Commerce.
