Maui Film Festival Wraps in Wailea
Wailea, HI (June 20, 2016) – The Maui Film Festival has wrapped its seventeenth year of cinema-under- the-stars.
Honoring Bryan Cranston, Viola Davis, Michael B. Jordan, Kelly Rohrbach and Wyatt Russell, the 17th Annual Maui Film Festival took place June 15-19, 2016 at the Celestial Cinema located at the Wailea Gold and Emerald Golf Course, the Castle Theater at the state-of-the-art Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, the Toes-in-the-Sand Cinema located on Wailea Beach below the Four Seasons Maui and special events throughout the Wailea Resort. Other celebrity attendees included: Goldie Hawn, Meredith Hagner and Tom Felton.
In addition to the celebrity honorees, the schedule was packed with life affirming films, fabulous events highlighting the culture, food, and beauty of Maui. This included award ceremonies honoring actors for outstanding achievements, more than 40 film screenings and events offering a relaxing and enjoyable opportunity for festival goers to appreciate cinema in an unparalleled atmosphere.
Kelly Rohrbach and Wyatt Russell were presented with the Rising Stars award on June 15th. Michael B. Jordan was presented with the Rainmaker Award on June 16th. Viola Davis was presented with the Navigator Award on June 17th. Bryan Cranston was presented with the Navigator Award on June 18th.
