Maui siblings Summer and Ocean Macedo showcased their well crafted skills at Lower Trestles in San Clemente, California for a 1st and 2nd place finish at the USA Surfing Championships.
With a pumping south swell over the event period the Junior competitors had world class surfing conditions to showcase their talents against the best young surfers in nation.
Maui’s rising start siblings Summer and Ocean dominated the field and quickly advanced to the finals for a strong finish .
Ocean, age 14, showed power and fitness and tallied a heat total of 16.77 out of 20 to take the win in the Boys Under 14 division.
Older sister Summer, age 16, came up just short of a first place finish but none the less showed maturity well beyond her years and proudly took the runner up position in the Girls Under 16 division.
Congratulations to both Maui surfers.
