Wind Advisory Goes Into Effect Early Tomorrow

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Wind Advisory which goes into effect tomorrow, July 1, at 6:00 a.m.
The weather alert is posted through 6:00 p.m. Saturday but could be extended or upgraded if conditions change.
Northeast to east winds are expected to pick up in strength. Winds from 15 to 30 mph are forecast with gusts getting up to 50 mph or more.
Winds will be strongest over mauka areas and ridges and downslope of the mountains. Over the summit of Haleakalā winds could gust up to 60 mph.
