Westin Kā‘anapali Villas Voted ‘Best Renovation’
The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas was just voted “Best Major Renovation” in the 2016 WAVE Awards by TravelAge West, a travel industry publication.
The honor was presented after readers voted from a selection of “Editor’s Picks.”
The Westin Kā‘anapali was recognized for the refurbishment of its north villas along with other notable projects that were completed by Nov. 2015.
“We want our resort to feel like a home away from home for our owners and guests,” said Angela Nolan, area managing director, Hawai‘i, for the resort’s parent company, Vistana Signature Experiences. “Therefore, keeping the resort fresh, current and welcoming is very important to us.”
The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas completed several renovations that were taken into consideration by TravelAge West and its readers.
The resort renovated the villas on the north side of its property with new exterior painting, new carpeting in the hallways and villas, new black-out drapes and sheers, select furniture and televisions.
Its North WestinWorkout Fitness Studio was also updated with new fitness equipment and flooring.
The Westin Kā‘anapali also renovated its oceanfront sports bar, Pailolo Bar & Grill, by renewing its fire pit and adding fire pit seating.
It also installed a food truck, which is the first food truck owned and operated by a Maui hotel.
Additionally, The Westin Kā‘anapali transformed an owner lounge into its Pu‘uhonua Cultural Center, which provides a sense of place for guests wishing to learn more about the Hawaiian culture.
