The Department of Public Works will be closing down a portion of Piʻilani Highway in Kīpahulu for geotechnical testing this week.

The testing is needed due to storm surges and high surf causing significant damage to the makai side of the highway at Kalepa Point, near marker 38.5.

The testing will require the road to be closed completely from Monday, July 25 to Thursday, July 28, 2016, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
