One Man Dead in Maui Shooting, Murder Investigation Launched
One man is dead following a shooting reported early Monday morning at a home on Kea Street in Kahului.
The incident was reported at 2:50 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 774 Kea Street in Kahului.
Police responded to the home to investigate a report of a group of armed males threatening people at the residence.
Upon arrival, officers were directed to a storage room in the back of the car port where they found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police reports.
The responsible males had fled the area prior to police arrival. At this time, police are looking for the suspects.
The investigation is in its early stages and on-going.

Maui police are investigating a shooting incident reported early Monday morning at a home on Kea Street in Kahului.
The incident was reported at around 2:45 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016 on Kea Street near the Pala Circle and Palama Drive intersections.
Initial reports indicate that police are looking for two possible suspects who are believed to have fled from the scene in a vehicle.
The area was initially cordoned off while police conducted an investigation.
