Pacific Cancer Foundation Golf Tournament Entries Due Sept. 1
The Pacific Cancer Foundation is inviting golfers to sign up for “Go Blue on the Blue,” a charitable golf tournament in support of prostate cancer patients and their families on Maui.
Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on the Wailea Blue Course, “Go Blue on the Blue” includes a three-person scramble competition followed by lunch, awards ceremony and prizes.
The entry fee is $500 per three-person team, with proceeds benefiting the Pacific Cancer Foundation.
The Wailea Golf Club is a sponsor and host site of the charitable fundraiser. The par-71 Blue is Wailea Resort’s original layout, designed by Arthur Jack Snyder and reconfigured in 2014 to play from a brand new pro shop at 100 Wailea Ike Drive. The Blue is the former home course of such televised golf tournaments as the LPGA Women’s Kemper Open and Asahi-Kyosen golf tournament, and is popular for its views of the ocean and Haleakalā.
The Pacific Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by healthcare providers and cancer survivors to provide free support services for Maui’s cancer community.
The Foundation works to connect patients with appropriate resources and services; facilitate communications between healthcare providers and patients; organize support groups for patients and families, including special groups for children; offer nutrition, fitness and wellness counseling; and provide transportation assistance and other support programs for cancer patients and their loved ones.
Completed entry forms for the “Go Blue on the Blue” benefit fundraiser must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 1, 2016.
Entry fees may be paid in cash, check or by credit card. To obtain an entry form, contact the Wailea Blue Course at (808) 879-2530 or the Pacific Cancer Foundation office at (808) 242-7661.
