Southside Boxing to Honor Baisa with Roast

Southside Boxing Club of Maui Inc. will host a “Tribute to Gladys Coelho Baisa” dinner event on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the Elleair Rainbow Ballroom at the Maui Beach Hotel in Kahului.

During the event, Councilmember Baisa will be honored for her leadership both as a member of the Maui County Council and as Past Executive Director of Maui Economic Opportunity.

“SSBC has also benefited greatly from the inspired leadership, wisdom, insights of Councilmember Baisa,” said Nante Manangan.

Cocktails will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner set to start at 6 p.m. Entertainment and roasting by Maui’s own celebrities and a surprise guest will follow.

Tickets are $75 per person with enhanced sponsorship opportunities available as noted below.

Net proceeds of this event will help to provide training and equipment, and will help to defray travel expenses for off-island tournaments.
