Kaunoa Half-Day, Meals on Wheels Double Lunch

The Department of Housing and Human Concerns announced that its Kaunoa Senior Services Offices will be closed Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 from 7:45 a.m. to noon to conduct staff training.

The half-day closure affects Kaunoa Senior Center in Spreckelsville, West Maui Senior Center in Lahaina, the Lānaʻi Senior Center and Molokaʻi Senior Services. All affected offices, services and programs will resume regular operations on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016.

The following services and programs will also be closed:

  • Meals on Wheels (double meals to be delivered Dec. 21)
  • Assisted Transportation
  • Nutrition Centers
  • Leisure/Wellness Classes
  • Retired & Senior Volunteer Program

Additionally, to ensure that seniors have enough to eat during the County-observed holidays, Maui clients of the “Meals on Wheels” program will receive double lunches (both ready-to-eat and frozen meals) on the following days:

  • Thursday, Dec. 22 (for Dec. 23 and 26)
  • Friday, Dec. 30 (for Dec. 30 and Jan. 2)
