New Westin Nanea Ocean Villas Selects GM

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, which will be Maui’s newest resort when it opens in April 2017, announced that Chris Rabang has been appointed its general manager.

In this role, Rabang will oversee resort operations, strategic planning and owner relations. He will also work alongside the resort’s Board of Directors and the leadership team at the resort’s parent company, VistanaTM Signature Experiences.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce Chris as general manager of the newest resort in our Hawai‘i villa collection,” said Angela Nolan, Hawai‘i area managing director, Vistana Signature Experiences. “His innovative leadership, strong resort experience and understanding of the Hawaiian culture make him the ideal choice for this position.”

Rabang most recently served as opening complex general manager for The Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey’s Resort and The Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey’s Hotel & Bungalows.

Prior to that, he was director of room operations and six sigma at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa. Other positions he has held include hotel manager at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, as well as multiple senior leadership roles at The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas, including hotel manager.

During his time at The Westin Kā‘anapali, Rabang opened the north side of the 1,021 villa resort.

Rabang was born on O‘ahu and raised on Maui, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University.
