Culley Insurance Group Brings Concierge Insurance Services to Maui

Culley Insurance Group will be expanding its personal and commercial insurance services to include Hawaiʻi, adding to its business on the mainland in Oregon, California and Michigan. Elizabeth Culley, Principal of the Group, previously lived in Maui for 14 years and during that time, worked as an agent for Insurance Associates as Elizabeth Phillips.

Since she left Maui in 2012, Culley continued to grow her expertise in the industry as an agent on the mainland. Seeing a need to give clients the kind of customer experience they were not getting with other agencies, Culley decided to start her own agency.

In December 2016, she started Culley Insurance Group, a concierge agency.  “Concierge service means that clients shouldn’t have to settle for ‘good customer service.’ They should be getting great service,” said Culley. “Going that extra mile, treating clients as friends and family, doing what’s best for the client, not the agent’s pocketbook, that’s what I deliver to my clients.” In establishing her new business, Culley said she knew she needed to return to Hawaiʻi.

“When you have a car accident or a loss to your home, what matters most is what your insurance covers and how your agent helps you through a claim,” says Culley. “I have heard so many stories of people being underinsured when a claim occurs, and I do my best to never have that happen to my clients,” said Culley.

Culley is based in Bend, Oregon, and recently became licensed in California and Michigan.

Because many homeowners in Central Oregon also have property in California and Hawaiʻi, Culley Insurance Group can now serve those in Hawaiʻi and the mainland.

Culley has brought on Susan Westlake as an agent on Maui, to provide a local presence. Culley also plans to visit Hawaiʻi several times a year to meet with clients.
