The Department of Parks & Recreation is holding two Pop-Up Planning events in Wailuku for the Wells Park Master Plan.

The first event is on Thursday, April 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, located at 31 North Market Street. Participants can enter through the front door which is accessible through the municipal parking lot. The second event is on Friday, April 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at ʻĪao Square, next to ʻĪao Theater.

The final concept plan for Wells Park will be displayed at both events and county staff and project consultants will be available to answer questions. Information on the projected phasing will also be provided.

“The Wells Park master planning process ensures that the community has a say in how we develop such a well used park that sits right in the middle of Wailuku.” said Mayor Alan Arakawa. “If people would like to get involved in shaping their own community they should come to these public events next month.”
