Morning Accident Slows Commute on Haleakalā Hwy

HALEAKALA HWY STILL BACKED UP:
(Update: 8:45 a.m. 3.31.17)

Motorists can expect continued delays on the Haleakalā Highway where a traffic accident involving a flipped vehicle was reported earlier this morning (shortly after 7 a.m. on Friday, 3.31.17) at the Haleakalā Hwy/Firebreak Rd intersection.

As of 8:45 a.m., vehicles had been removed from the highway, but traffic remained backed up.

Traffic is also backed up on Pūlehu Road, which some motorists have been using as an alternate route.
