Ahhh the beauty of Maui… and the unexpected mysteries that one can encounter while here.

One spectator of the central Maui sunflower field found more than he hoped for when visiting the site last week.  After hearing about the sunflower field, Camryn Stokes said friends showed interest in wanting to go.

Like others had been doing throughout the week, Stokes captured the moment on his phone via Snap Chat.  That was at around 1:12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12th, 2017, according to the time data on his phone.

Then, one week later, on the night of April 19th, Stokes was going through his images, with plans to post the video on his Instagram account.  That’s when he noticed something moving in the video.  “It was super odd, because I don’t recall really anyone being around us at the time I filmed there, and my two friends who were with me agree,” Stokes explained.

“It’s all just really bizarre and I really don’t have a firm explanation for it,” he said, calling the incident freaky and bizarre.

When we asked what he thinks the movement in the video is, his response was, “Your guess is better than mine.”  He said he and his friends purposely ventured to an area that was empty and said, “In the screenshot at the end, it definitely looks like a figure with a face.”

Stokes did post the video to his own Facebook account yesterday and within a day, it had over 300 shares and 10,000 views.

In the post he states:

“Alright, I can’t sleep.. mostly because of what I just found!  I was scrolling through the videos on my phone & discovered something a little bit odd in one of them… is that…?” … “PLEASE tell me I’m seeing things!!”

Stokes recently moved to Maui in January from Utah.
