Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA Baseball State Championship

The 2017 Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA Baseball State Championships begins this week with both divisions competing for titles, culminating with championship action on Saturday.

The Division I baseball tournament begins Wednesday, April 26, at Les Murakami Stadium. The first pitch is at 10 a.m. with OIA fifth place Moanalua taking on BIIF runner-up Waiakea.

Maui action includes a 4 p.m. game on Wednesday between Maui Sabers (10‐5) and Mililani.  Then on Thursday at 4 p.m., #3 Baldwin Bears (13‐2) takes on the winner of the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama vs Kalani match.  Both Maui games will be televised on OC16 and broadcast on Maui’s AM 900 KMVI.

The Division II tournament begins Thursday, April 27, at Hans L’Orange Field in Waipahu, with KIF champion Kauaʻi going head-to-head with MIL champ and #4 Molokaʻi Farmers (10‐1) at 11:30 am.
