South: Surf heights are expected to be waist/head high today with the best breaks catching some slightly overhead sets.

We expect a south-southwest to build for the weekend and fade back out late Sunday. Another shot of good south-southwest is forecast from Friday through Sunday the 28th according to the long range models. Will keep an eye on it.

Later in the weekend, a larger northwest swell is expected to fill in through the day Sunday, peaking Sunday night into Monday, then easing early next week. This swell will gradually shift out of a more northerly direction and hold into midweek as it trends down.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
